What’s up, dudes? Tim Babb from Can’t Wait for Christmas joins me to dive into the bonkers special “Andy Williams & the NBC Kids Search for Santa!” Andy Williams needs 12 true believers to have his family curse lifted by Santa, so he enlists the help of some child actors from popular NBC shows to accomplish his task! Oh, and Mindy Cohn comes out for like 2 minutes.
Yes, the tale begins with Mr. Williams writing to secure permission from the children’s TV parents (what?!) for them to accompany him to Finland. After a bizarre bedtime singalong, there’s a trip to a government building with a secret painting, a Laplander party, a recital at a local church Santa frequents, a chase after a mailman, and Mr. Christmas leaving the kids out in the cold so he can get face time alone with Santa.
Is there kidnapping? Sort of. Is there a funky “Jingle Bells?” Definitely! Does Santa explode? Absolutely! So grab your snow shoes, search for clues, and follow Santa’s mailman to this episode!
