What’s up, dudes? I’ve got Todd and Michael from the Saturday Morning Mafia here to talk “Magnum P.I.”! Tom Selleck is Thomas Magnum, a Vietnam vet turned private investigator. He’s so good at his job that even school girls hire him (it turns out it’s all a ruse, but the point still stands). Resourceful to the end, even when trapped on a desert island that’s about to be bombed he remains cool, calm, and collected!
Synopses
In the 4th episode of season 1, “Thank Heaven for Little Girls and Big Ones Too” from 1980, five schoolgirls hire Magnum to find their missing teacher. Our hero takes the girls to Masters’s house where they immediately steal a priceless painting. Magnum and TC, meanwhile, trace the false lead the girls gave them to a local Hawaiian gangster. Spoiler alert: Magnum gets into trouble and tracks down the teacher. She’s an art authenticator gone bad! But not really bad. Long story short, the real art forger kidnaps the girls, Magnum uses the painting as bait, and stop him at the airport. Oh, and TC gets a macho lei! Christmas!
In the 10th episode of season 4, “Operation: Silent Night” from 1983, TC flies Magnum, Rick, and Higgins to their various Christmas destinations. En route, the chopper breaks down, and consequently they have to make an emergency landing on an island the Navy uses for gunnery practice. Will there be a Christmas miracle so they can escape?
There’s an art heist, a military training drill, and that sweet, sweet, Selleck ‘stache! Hawaiian shirts and leis abound! Oh yeah! There’s a voice over, too! Grab some popcorn and check out this episode on “Magnum P.I.”! Good times to the Max!
