What’s up, dudes? Ever wonder what Snow White would be like with ‘80s country and mountain orphans? Dolly Parton did, and so Ashley Dunbar from the Magic of the Season, CJ Bélanger from Christmas Sessions, and Anthony Caruso from ‘Tis the Podcast join me to talk about her movie “A Smoky Mountain Christmas!” Dolly Parton is singing sensation Lorna Davis, who runs to the Smokies to take a vacation and in the process falls for a woodsman and earns the ire of a mountain witch!
Synopsis
Superstar pop country singer Lorna Davis tired of the fastlane! In order to escape all the ado of the music industry, she escapes to her friend’s secluded cabin. Unfortunately, it’s inhabited by 7 orphans. Cut to town sheriff with ill intentions making creepy passes at Lorna and his ex-girlfriend the mountain witch trying to entrance her into committing suicide. Mountain Dan gets friendly with Lorna and the kids, but shortly thereafter the lascivious sheriff arrests her with intentions to creep. Jezebel transforms into an old lady, poisons Lorna, gets tricked into poisoning herself, then takes a nice long nap while Lorna and Dan break the orphans out of the orphanage and go see Judge John Ritter. All ends well at Christmas!
