Linzer Apple Torte

European elegance meets ‘80s holiday entertaining.

A hazelnut pastry crust filled with sliced apples and raspberry preserves. The kind of tart that makes everyone think you went to culinary school.

Ingredients

  • 1¾ cups flour
  • 1 cup ground hazelnuts or almonds
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 egg
  • Apples, sliced
  • Raspberry preserves

Instructions

  1. 1

    Mix flour, nuts, sugar, and cinnamon. Add butter and egg to form dough.

    Press into tart pan. Add apples and raspberry preserves.

    Bake at 375°F for 35–40 minutes.
