Spiced Eggnog Cocoa

Hot cocoa and eggnog had a delicious baby.

Instant cocoa mix spiced with mace, allspice, and nutmeg, stirred into eggnog and water. Top with pressurized whipped cream and a drizzle of crème de menthe for the full holiday effect.

Ingredients

  • 1 (16-oz) can instant cocoa mix
  • ½ teaspoon ground mace
  • ¼ teaspoon ground allspice
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 8 cups water
  • 1 quart dairy eggnog
  • Pressurized whipped dessert topping
  • Green crème de menthe or grenadine syrup

Instructions

    In a 1-quart airtight container, combine cocoa mix, mace, allspice, and nutmeg. Cover; store at room temperature.

    To serve: In a 4½-quart Dutch oven, bring water to boiling. Stir in cocoa mixture and eggnog. Heat through.

    Top each serving with whipped topping and drizzle with crème de menthe or grenadine.

📝 For individual servings: Bring ½ cup water to boiling. Stir in ¼ cup cocoa mixture and ¼ cup eggnog. Heat and serve.
