Tex-Mex Style Chili
A little spice for your holiday table.
Ground beef chili with diced tomatoes, green chiles, and a full packet of seasoning mix — this is exactly the kind of dish that showed up at every ‘80s potluck.

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup chopped onion
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 cans (about 14 oz each) diced tomatoes with green chiles
- 1 can (15 oz) chili beans in sauce
- 1 cup water
- 1 package (1¼ oz) chili seasoning mix
- 1 cup (4 oz) shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions

Brown beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring to break up meat. Drain fat.

Add onion, pepper and salt; cook and stir 5 minutes or until onion is tender.

Stir in tomatoes, beans with sauce, water and seasoning mix.

Simmer 25 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve topped with shredded cheese.
